i encountered problems to upload video files on my website. first i thought it was the file type but i have tried (avi., flv and mkv) still no use i am guessing they have a “cap” on how big of a file you can upload, because i got a “permission denied when i finally uploaded the file 99% of a video.
This inconvenience forces me to upload my videos on websites like Veoh, which forces me to give up video quality and time limits that i shouldn’t really have to do.
I will make sure to do my research on picking a better webhosting next time thanks alot aplus.net

]]>I’m guessing the name change to “Codero” is meant to try to sweep under the carpet all the bad that Aplus has become and hide behind a new name (like Blackwater renaming themselves “Xe”)
The fact is that Codero is one gigantic mess. Their network is often down, especially in their Phoenix data center. They’ve been having repeated power issues, with three network outages over 4 hours within one month supposedly due to the same power breaker issues. Communications and status updates are non-existant, save one not very helpful twitter feed.
Their tech support is just laughable. The people there are lazy, and do very little other than say “this is an issue with our _insert other dept_. Please open a ticket and we’ll forward it to them”. Why bother answering the phone then? And those tickets take hours to get answered.
We’ve gotten so tired of them, we’ve moved to a much more expensive hosting solution that prides itself on “fanatical support”, and never been happier.
I would not advise anyone to get on Codero or Aplus right now. Perhaps with Aplus’ purchase by the Deluxe corp. things will change. But I’m not sure that Codero is affected, and they right now are a company to stay away from.
]]>Please do not make the same mistakes I did with this company. Even though they have now changed their name to Codero, do not be fooled. Stay very far away.
