I just started the 15-day trial to evaluate it and have been playing with some of the options. I disagree that there is no learning curve, as there is lots of setting up for shipping, products, categories, users, payment methods etc etc. There is nothing wrong with a learning curve, but I have certainly spent a fair amount of time in their support area reading guides, watching video's etc to get more comfortable with where to find things and the syntax they use. This especially applies to the whole bulk importing/exporting tools and setting up product options and product discounts, all of which have steeper learning curves to understand them properly. Not 100% sure what I think of it compared to some of the others, but they certainly seem to react well to customer requests and having looked at the release notes, they are regularly adding new features and fixing issues that users have identified, which seems a good sign for the future. Cheers, Mark. I think BC looks pretty good. I just started the 15-day trial to evaluate it and have been playing with some of the options. I use big commerce and have no issues with editing my HTML. I create my own movable block panels from scratch and BC runs it with no problem. BC has quickbooks integration. eBay links right up as well with out any issues. Pros: Flexibility – you can hire programmers and engineers and build a customized store that can fit any special needs. or you can watch the videos they have on there help site and do it yourself. its very easy to do. There are some more difficult task that you may want to do, but its not hard to learn. You do not need a programmer, just some basic html knowledge. Cons: Can cost more initially. Not easy to maintain as you will need a team of IT staff. You do not need to hire an IT team. If you have any issues, just call tech support and they will walk you through the whole process. I have had to call in a few times and every time I get a person that I can understand and that is very helpful. I do not work for BC or get paid by them. I am just a user. I am just a regular Joomla power user that stumbled across BC and love it. but I could be wrong too. you may find Big Commerce to be very complicated and hard to use. if so I dont recommend you give it a bad review. Just come out and say that you its your fault that you cant figure it out.
