GlowHost.com Web Hosting sucks real bad. They are so bad because they don’t have any bad reviews about them when we searched for “glow host sucks” or “glow host complaints” on Google today… yeah sucks for their competitors is what we meant. We also tried “glowhost sucks”, “glowhosting sucks”, “glowhost sux” and other variation of misspells, just incase some smart ass cannot even spell the host name right or try to avoid being sued by GlowHost. Sorry still none.

Perhaps you have already read tons of good stuff and rave reviews about hosting X but doing the “X sucks” search may reveal the true side of the hosting provider. We’ve been hosted for about three years now on GlowHost. Their services is perfect, for the price. Support is amazing.
The only downside is the bandwidth speed. Hosters offering high volume/unlimited bandwidth/month has limited upload speeds to control this bandwidth. It is still perfect / more then enough for most personnal / commercial websites.
It’s currently down tho’ (and every hosted also in the mean time.), apparently it’s GNax.net fault, as it is probably the service provider (colocation) for glowhost.
I have been a glowhost customer for about 2 years. Thier technical support has been very quick to respond to any and all issues we encounter. There has been some instances however where service was completely down for several hours and sometimes more then 24 hours. It is rare.
Currently as of right now, all glowhost.com services are DOWN, and you cannot get thru to them on the phone.
The service is down right now, and it happens from time to time. If I were hosting a serious money making site – I’d consider finding a more dependable service provider, but for my fledgling blog I’m going to stick it out. They’ve been quick to respond in the past.
I’ve been at GlowHost about a year and a half now. Frankly, I’ve gotten used to thinking of hosts as consumable (rather than durable) commodities. Many of GlowHost’s predecessors were fine for a while, then they got bigger or changed management or whatever and the problems started so I moved . . . again and again. GlowHost is #8 for me, over a span of more than ten years, and so far so good. I know I’ll jinx myself by saying this, but I’ve seen no signs so far of the rot that usually seems to occur just past a year or so. Just one data point among many, and not even a particularly important one (it’s just a blog), but maybe someone will find it useful.
My husband and I have been with Glowhost for at least 6 or 7 years now. I have to say, though, I’ve about had it. My first big issue was when they changed their pricing structure for resellers. They gave all new clients TONS more server space for literally half the price. However, they insisted that they have to keep charging me the same $54.95 per month unless I’m willing to move all my clients over to one of their other (many) servers. Completely unfair that I should have to do that in order to pay what everyone else pays.
I will say that they have quick customer ticket response times. However, the answers we get are sometimes completely unreliable. Just today, a client was getting a 500 internal server error on their site. Glowhost swore up and down that their domain name had expired. Ummm… no. It wasn’t set to expire for another 45 days or more. So, all in all, it’s not completely horrible, but I’m certainly not 100% satisfied either.

I’ve used Glowhost for 3-4 years – and though they cost about 20% more than some places – I have had no issues, and no downtime (unlike bigbluehost – ugh), and yes, customer service is lightning fast (ticket system)…
Was looking around for cheaper, but after reading the horror stories, I’ll keep paying my $75/month for VPS 1GB(see their packages) [price is current as of 2/2012].
