Well I say they suck. My Site is mointored and it goes down for about 15 – 45 minutes every couple of days and the load time is so horrible. I MEAN HORRIBLE. The only reason you find such good reviews is because people are PROMOTING to make MONEY from them. Why do you think they give away a year of free hosting? Because it sucks so bad they have to give it away.
I agree.
I was on a VPS system (Virtual Private Server), which was supposed to be unaffected by other sites on the system. The whole selling point of this package, was that no other sites would be able to drag me down.
The reliability of their service was not just horrible, but INCREDIBLY horrible. I experienced the exact same levels of downtime described above. 15-30 minute downtimes REGULARLY (meaning many times per week).
Everything started out fine, and things would be fine for a couple of months, and then problems would start happening a couple of times per week for a month. When I called them about it, they said it must be a bug in my site.
I asked them how they would explain how things were just fine for months, and then would suddenly have problems every other day for weeks — When I hadn’t made ANY changes to my site in a year!
How could that be a bug with my site? Months going along with no problems, and then a sudden change that causes problems every other day? And then, after a month or so — it went back to no problems again?
After I switched hosts away from them, guess what… Suddenly, my site doesn’t have any downtime problem at all. How about that…?
By the way, this pattern cycled over and over because I was dreading having to move hosting companies too much.
Things would get crappy, and then start getting better, so I’d stay — only to encounter them getting crappy again.
I finally wised up and realized the future held the exact same pattern as the past. It turned out that moving hosts wasn’t that much of an issue. Should’ve done it long before.
I’m pretty sure they’re just a reseller too, because they don’t seem to know what’s going on when I call.
Oh, and I almost left out the “kicker”.
When I cancelled, I asked for a partial refund of the next 10 months of service I’d already paid for, but wouldn’t be using.
“I’m sorry, but we can’t give refunds.”
My mistake… If they don’t care about giving crappy reliability and taking my money, why would they care about keeping 10 months worth of payments for no service at all.
Greedy bastards.
Do yourself a favor and avoid.
Like the other reviews here, my situation is the same. They charged me a renewal when I specifically stated to cancel my domain. They charged me another year at 5 times the price to “host” a domain that no longer existed. They hide behind a small sentence in the user agreement. Their policy: If you use a credit card, you give them permission to keep automatically renewing you at an exorbitant rate…. They WILL NOT refund your money. They will rip you off. BEWARE…. You will be sorry. AVOID AVOID AVOID 8/10/2011
Im scared now. I had entered by VISA DEBIT card details.
But i just checked my jumpline account, it has no CVV number entered. Will they take my money at the end of the year ?
