Thanks for the review on One.com. Previously I have no knowledge about one.com web hosting. I found 103 Result when search on google using words “one.com sucks” and 968 result when search using words “hostgator sucks”. In my opinion One.com is relatively good.
One.com sucks, they will take you’r money without knowing they did, and then you will find your self -100 euro, don’t take one.com.. its terrible, it has good help with service, but terrible money managment !!
After a year without payning much attention to the uptimes of my website I have changed my attitude to this window to the outside world a used it intensly both to attract new clients and service the old ones. It my be a coinsidence, but duing the last week only the website has been down 24 hours at one periode and now its don again. The livesupport says it will last a couple of hours – the same thing they said last time- when it lasted 24 hours. It is of course frustrating and what’s worst is that one.com’s lack of ability will be regarded by my clients as my incompetence.
My advice will be to look for another host-provider it you need a professionel service.
I have to add that they do indeed suck. Not their hosting packages, which are good, but their customer services which is a complete and utter joke.
I have had over 20 emails sent between myself and them because they’ve charged me twice for the service which I raised to their attention over 3 weeks ago and they had my details to rectify this 3 weeks ago – nothing has been done, despite chasing constantly.
Additionally, I sent a signed declaration after registering my site in order to activate the account. This was sent the following day after activation. After numerous emails and sending the signed form a further 3 times, I finally had access to my web space a month later.
The hosting service they offer could be tremendous, however the level of customer service (I’m a customer service manager for one of the largest UK companies) is appalling.
I’ve asked numerous times for my case to be escalated and for a copy of their escalation process and details of their governing body – NOTHING has been received, and every question I raise goes un-answered.
THINK TWICE before taking up a service with them, as if you have any problems, you may find yourself in the same situation as me.
